I help people gain relief from chronic anxiety and the many other symptoms of trauma. My clients struggle with excessive worry, obsessive thinking, a high desire for control, perfectionism, hypervigilance, and panic attacks. They dissociate due to overwhelm, may be sensory sensitive, called reactive, and often assume the worst is going to happen.
Sometimes it’s obvious what caused this experience, and other times it is not. My clients often have a history of talk therapy and a lot of awarenesses that give them a ‘why’ but does not shift what is happening for them internally. They may even already have a formal diagnosis of anxiety, OCD, or C-PTSD.
It often feels like their body and brain will not relax and get in the way of the life they want to live. They worry that they do not know who they really are and many experience loneliness. They know that they are not showing up in their relationships the way they want to.
Before they came to see me, they worried about having to talk about the details of their anxieties and traumas. They worried that they would overwhelm me like they worry they have overwhelmed others. And they were pretty certain nothing would change for them.
Just like them, you deserve a settled mind and comfort within your own body. A felt sense of safety is not out of your reach. Neither are fulfilling relationships and a life bigger than your worries currently allow for.
If you want to work with your body to change its developed responses and transform your anxiety, I’d love to help.
